New Year's Eve in New York City

Dana and I decided to start off the new year in New York City with my college roommate Barb and it was SO much fun!  We left very early on the morning of New Year's Eve and headed to Manhattan.  The trip was surprisingly very easy, it only took us a little over 2 hours, there was hardly any traffic and we found a parking spot literally right in front of Barb's apartment.  Once we arrived we played tourists for the majority of the day - Central Park, Madison and 5th Avenues, Rockefeller Center/Tree, Time Square and Central Park again.  Here are some of the pictures!

We ended up eating at some pretty fabulous places, Bill's Bar & Burger in Rockefeller Center near Time Square and we also made a stop at Pinkberry!  Later we had some pretty amazing sushi for dinner!

Once we finished being tourists we headed back to Barb's to hang out before the night's festivities began.

Then the bubbly started flowing!

We headed to Williamsburg, Brooklyn to meet up with a bunch of William & Mary alums.  The loft where we attended the party at was right in the heart of Williamsburg, was about 5 stories and held some very interestingly designed apartments.  We ended up ringing in the new year on the roof - counting down, cheer and toasting!

The trip was a ton of fun and when we got back to Albany New Year's day we were exhausted!!  Hopefully 2012 will be fantastic!  Happy New Year!
